The GST 135 CE is a barrel grip jig saw manufactured by Bosch.

The machine is powered by a 720 watt brushed electric motor from a power outlet.

Exterior

This machine has a distinctive blank aluminium front housing.

A unique feature is the precision control switch. When activated the saw blade is guided laterally to minimize deflection of the saw blade. Newer models like the GST 160 CE do not have a switch but have rollers that always provide lateral guidance.

Operation

To turn the machine a slide switch on the right side has to be pushed forward. On the  right side there is also a four step orbital actions selector and a blower switch.

On the back there is a variable speed setting dial which can be used to set the number of strokes per minute from 500 to 2800.

On the left side there is a lever which has to be loosened to tilt the base up to 45º.

Transparent plastic anti splinter guards can be mounted in the base.
