The GST 85 P is a barrel grip jig saw manufactured by Bosch.

The machine is powered by a 580 watt brushed electric motor from a power outlet.

On the right side there is a sliding switch to turn the machine on. There is also a selector switch for up to three orbital actions for faster cutting in wood and a switch to turn on the blower function to clear saw dust away from around the saw blade.

This saw has a tool less saw blade changing system that works by pushing down on the button on the top handle and then rotating the top handle several times.

On the bottom there is a hex nut which has to be loosened to tilt the base up to 45º.

This machine has a distinctive aluminium front and cylindrical motor housing.

Variants

  • GST 85 PE has variable speed setting
  • GST 85 PAE has variable speed setting and vacuum adapter integrated in base.
