The GCM 8 SJL is a sliding miter saw manufactured by Bosch.

The machine is powered by a brushed electric motor from a power outlet.

The machine saws with a rotating circular 216 mm replaceable saw blade with a bore hole diameter of 30 mm. The blade is fixed with a special nut which allows changing it without needing any tools.

The saw can be turned up to 52º left and 60 º right for miter cuts. Additionally it can also do bevel cuts up to 47º left and 47º right.

The dust extraction has inlets on both top and back. A vacuum cleaner has to be attached to extract saw dust while cutting.

The machine has a variable speed setting from 3500 up to 5000 RPM. The lower speeds in combination with an appropriate saw blade allows cutting materials like wood composites, plastic and aluminium.

The machine has a soft start feature and a laser guide.
