GBA 18V 6.0Ah battery
The GBA 18V 6.0Ah battery is a battery manufactured by Bosch for 18 volt Bosch Professional products.
The battery pack contains ten 3.6 volt 18650 Lithium Ion cells with a capacity of 3.0 Ah each placed in series of five to produce 18 volt.
It has the same size and weight as the GBA 18V 5.0 Ah battery but contains higher quality cells with a significantly higher capacity and a higher energy density than most other batteries.
Availability
In January 2022 this battery was not found on Bosch's European or American websites. It is therefor marked as discontinued here.
Specifications were found on Bosch's Angolese website where the battery is still listed at at the moment of writing.
Exterior
The battery has a black plastic rectangular housing with rounded edges.
On top of the battery is a rail on both sides on which the battery can slide on a tool body or charger backwards. Between the rails are recessed electrical contacts. Marked with "+" (positive) on the left and "-" (negative) on the right.
On top near the front there is a spring loaded latch that secures the battery. A red button on the front of the battery has to be pushed down to release the latch and allow the battery to slide out.
The red bottom has ribs to that act like cooling fins to help dissipate heat faster. The red bottom extends around the back where there is a red push button which can be pressed to activate the battery charge indicator next to it that consists out of three green LEDs.
On the sides near the bottom there are some additional red ribs.
