Drilling & fastening Drill Corded electric tools

The BOS 16-2 is a large handheld corded two gear drill manufactured by Fein aimed at professionals working with steel.

The machine has a orange metal body with a plain metal front.

The machine is activated with a big black trigger switch. Integrated on top of the the trigger is a switch to reverse the rotation. Behind the trigger switch is a round black lock on button.

On top of the body there is a speed preselection dial with six settings to set the maximum speed based on the material. Above the dial is a chart with the maximum RPM for every setting in each gear.

On the right side of the machine that is not visible in the picture there is a black gear selector knob.

In the first gear the constant low speed combined with a high torque makes this drill ideal for drilling large holes in steel. The second gear is more useful for drilling faster in softer materials.

On the front there is a side grip that can be rotated.

The keyless chuck is all metal and has retracting jaws.
