The BDE 1100 is an electric corded drill with D-handle manufactured by Metabo.

Behind the trigger switch is a red round lock on button to keep the machine turning without needing to hold down the trigger.

Across the handle, in front of where the operators ring finger would be is a button to reverse the rotation direction.

The front of the machine where the two speed gearbox is located is plain aluminium on the outside. On top there is black round knob to switch between low and high gear.

A black rotatable side handle with a depth gauge is clamped around the front.

The metal chuck is keyed

The machine has a safety clutch that will mechanically disengage the drive when too much torque is applied.
