0244-1 Magnum corded drill

The 0244-1 is a corded electric drill manufactured by Milwaukee. It is similar to the 0234-6 and just as powerful with a lower RPM giving it more torque and making it more suitable for drilling larger holes, but slower for small holes.

The machine has a red plastic body with a metal front.

On the handle there is a large black trigger switch to activate the machine. In front of the trigger switch there is a small trigger lock button to keep the machine turning without keeping the trigger pressed. In front of the lock switch is a switch to reverse the rotation.

The machine comes with a side handle that can be screwed into the left or right side of the body. On Milwaukee's website the side handle is black but on some pictures on the internet it is red.

The machine has a brushed motor of which the brushes can quickly be replaced. Milwaukee claims this can be done in less than a minute. Both brushes are accessible behind a single cover placte which can be removed with a single screw. A spare set of brushes is included.

The power cord is detachable using Milwaukee's Quik-lok® system.
