2510-20 M12 wall/vehicle battery charger

Cordless M12

The 2510-20 is a battery charger for a single M12 battery manufactured by Milwaukee.

The charger contains a plug for an American 120 volt AC outlet and a 12 volt plug that goes into the cigarette lighter of a vehicle.

The charger contains electronics that communicates with the electronics inside the battery to optimize charging speed while limiting the wear on the battery.

Exterior

The charger has a red plastic housing with rounded edges and gets narrower towards the front.

On the back there are ventilation slits. On the front there is a single receptacle for an M12 battery on the right with a red and green indicator light on the left of it.

Above the lights is a legend explaining the meaning of the lights as status indicators:

  • Solid red: battery is charging.
  • Solid green: battery is charger.
  • Slow flashing red: battery is waiting to be charged when another one is done
  • Fast flashing red: battery is too hot or cold, will resume charging when temperature normalizes.
  • Flashing red and green: battery is faulty or damaged and will not be charged.

The power cord is permanently attached and has a special red plug with prongs that can be fold out to plug them in an outlet and folded in when not in use. The plug for the cigarette lighter can slide out when needed.
