48-59-1201 M12 compact charger

The 48-59-1201 is a compact battery charger for a single M12 battery manufactured by Milwaukee.

This charger can charge a M12 battery from an 120 volt AC outlet or from a 5 volt USB power source.

The charger will draw 2.1 Ah of power at 5 volts and can charge a depleted 2.0 Ah battery in less than 3 hours.

Exterior

The charger is made out of red plastic. The battery is inserted from the top and secured in place by its latches. The charger can stand upside down on the bottom of the battery.

On the bottom there is a Micro USB port where the included USB cable can be inserted. Like with other Milwaukee chargers there is a red and green LED to indicate the charging status.

The battery charge level can be checked by pressing a black round button which shows the charge level in a row of four red LEDs .

On the left side near the bottom is a hole for a 12 volt DC barrel plug to use the charger as a power source for a heated jacket.

On the right side there is an upward facing 5 volt DC USB A port where another device can be plugged in for charging.
