2505-20 M12 multi head drill

The 2505-20 is a cordless electric drill driver with a detachable chuck manufactured by Milwaukee. It is part of their high performance FUEL product line.

It has a brushless electric motor powered by a 12 volt M12 battery.

The tool comes with four different attachments that can be combined together for screwing and drilling in tight spaces that a regular drill driver cannot reach. Because an angle attachment is included it is also categorized here as an angle drill.

Exterior

The tool has an unusual pistol shaped body with a finger guard in front. The body is made out of red plastic with rubberized handle and back side.

An M12 battery is inserted in the bottom of the handle. This makes the machine more compact than similar tools where the battery is placed under the handle but also makes the handle wider.

The finger guard has a metal belt clip on the side and four LEDs above it on the left side that act as a battery charge indicator. Milwaukee calls this the "fuel gauge".

In the front of the finger guard is a magnet where several bits and screws can be attached for quick access and storage. Above the bit storage is a build in LED that illuminates the working area.

On top of the body are controls for the gear selection turning direction. In front is a gray clutch adjustment ring with 16 settings and a drill setting.

At the very front is a bit holder in which 1/4" hex bits can placed directly or one of the attachments can be placed.

Operation

The machine is activated with a a variable speed trigger switch on the handle. The turning direction can be reversed by pushing a membrane button on top of the bottom. Holding the button for 2 seconds will lock the machine to prevent accidental activation. Pushing the button once unlocks it.

In front of that is the gear selector slide switch.

The attachments can be attached and removed by pulling their collar and turning them.
