Panasonic power tools
Panasonic power tools has two product lines; professional tools and assembly tools.
Appearance
Panasonic power tools feature a black and gray color scheme. Older tools that use Ni-Cd batteries featured yellow accents as well.
Battery systems
Panasonic has been making cordless power tools for a long time, and has a large number of different batteries.
Current battery systems
Panasonic's current battery systems all use Li-On cells which Panasonic manufactures themselves.
Legacy battery systems
Legacy battery systems mostly use Ni-Cd cells which compared to Li-On cells have a lower energy density, suffer from quick degradation and contain the toxic material Cadmium. For many legacy battery systems tools are no longer sold but replacement batteries and chargers remain available.
