Parkside product naming conventions explained

Parkside power tools names consist out of three parts. The first part determines the type of the machine, the second part the battery system or power source and the third part is the version.

The first letter is always "P" and stands for Parkside. If the second letter is an "A" it is a battery powered machine. The letters after that determine the type of machine, often the letters have some meaning in the German language.

Examples

  • PBH 1500 E5: Parkside BohrHammer, a corded machine with a 1500 watt motor.
  • PABH 20-Li A1: Parkside Akku BohrHammer, a cordless machine powered by a X20V Lithium-Ion battery.
  • PABH 20-Li B2: The successor of the machine above. Indicated by the B2 which is a newer version than A1.

First part

All tools start with "P" for Parkside.

"A" indicates that it is a cordless battery powered tool, charger or battery pack. This is often at the end or beginning after "P".

Tools that are part of the "Me" product line start with "PM" unless the M is also part of the tool description like it is for multi tools.

The letter "P" at the end indicates the tool is part of the Parkside Performance label.
