MX-Fuel is a high voltage Lithium Ion battery system from Milwaukee.
This battery system is intended for heavy duty machinery used by professionals.
The nominal voltage is 72 volts. Milwaukee does not disclose the voltage of the batteries on their website or even on the battery packs themselves to avoid being compared to 120 volt AC power. A battery powered tool at 72 volt can be more powerful than a corded tool at 120 volt.
The battery packs contain 20 or 40 3.6 volt Lithium Ion cells.
