12V Max Cordless Drilling & fastening Impact driver

The GDR 12V-110 is a cordless electric impact driver manufactured by Bosch as part of the Bosch Professional product line.

The machine has a brushless electric motor that is powered by a 12V Max battery.

In 2021 the GDR 12V-110 was the most powerful impact driver in the Bosch Professional 12V Max battery system.

Availability

This product was previously available under the name GDR 10.8 V-EC but was renamed in 2017 to its current name.

In North America this impact driver has the model name PS42 or PS42N for the bare tool.

Exterior

The machine has a dark blue plastic housing with some black rubberized parts mostly on the back side of the handle. The buttons and are red, like the Bosch logo on the side of the motor housing.

A 12V max battery is inserted in the bottom of the handle. At the front of the handle is a red trigger switch. Above it is a battery charge indicator consisting out of two green LEDs. Behind it is a rotation reverse switch on both sides.

At the back of the motor housing there is a gray removable cover. When removed a metal belt clip can be attached.

At the front there is a black hammer case. On front on the center is a black 1/4" hex bit holder.. Around the bit holder are three white LEDs that illuminate the working area placed behind a transparent plastic ring.

Operation

The machine is activated by pulling the red variable speed trigger switch. The turning direction can be reversed with red push button behind it.

On top of the motor housing is a membrane push button to switch between low speed (max. 1200 RPM) and high speed (max. 2600 RPM) in front of the button are two green indicator LEDs to show the setting. In front of that is a membrane button to toggle the white working lights on and off.

The bit can be removed by pulling the sleeve around the bit holder forward.
