GAL 18V6-80 multi battery charger
The GAL 18V6-80 is a fast six port sequential battery charger manufactured by Bosch.
The charger can charge both 14.4V and 18V Bosch Professional Lithium Ion batteries.
This is a sequential charger meaning that the batteries are charged in sequence, one at a time.
Charging speed
The charger can charge up to 8 Ampere current. This means it can charge a 8.0 Ah battery to 80% in 42 minutes, but after that reduces the current and therefore takes a little longer than an hour for 100% to reduce wear on the battery.

Charging sequence
Batteries are charged in the sequence indicated by the arrows on top of the housing. Each battery is charged to 80% capacity and then the the sequence will repeat again with the battery charging to 100% at a lower current to reduce the wear on the battery.
If the red "priority" button above a battery is pressed once four out of five LEDs of the charge indicators will briefly light up to indicate that it will charge to 80%. If the button is pressed twice all five LEDs will light up to indicate it will charge the battery to 100%. When a priority charge is done the charger will continue charging the next battery in order of the arrows.
Availability
The GAL 18V6-80 is available in Europe and North America, but in North America it is often listed as the GAL18V6-80 without a space in the name.
Exterior
The charger has a dark blue plastic housing with an elongated hexagon profile. On the front and back of the charger are three receptacles for batteries that are placed on the charger by sliding them in from above.
On top of the charger is a carrying handle with an integrated cable guide in the center. Above each receptacle is a charging status indicator consisting out of five green LEDs, and red LED that acts as a warning indicator.
Each battery also has a red membrane button with an "play" icon which can be pressed to prioritize charging a specific battery.
The charger has a black plastic base on which an included L-BOXX adapter can be installed so that the charger can be placed securely on top of an L-BOXX.
