DA3010F corded angle drill

The DA3010F is a corded Angle drill manufactured by Makita.

The machine is powered by 450 watt brushed motor from an outlet. Depending on the region it is sold in the cord has an appropriate power plug and voltage rating for 120 and 230 volt outlets.

Exterior

The machine has a plastic body in the typical "Makita teal" color. The compact design allows for drilling holes in right spots that may not be possible with conventional drills.

On the front there is a bare aluminium head that is 66 mm wide with the keyed chuck pointing downwards and threaded holes on either side where the side handle can be screwed in.

On the bottom of the body there is a black paddle switch with an integrated speed selection dial. The turning speed is controlled by pressing the paddle switch deeper. The speed selection dial can be preset to limit how far the paddle can be pressed and thereby limiting the maximum speed.

Above the paddle switch black push button to reverse the direction of rotation on each side.

Near the head there is a black protrusion on the underside of the body that contains a white LED that illuminates the working area. On the back of the body there is another protrusion that helps prevents the tool from slipping out of the operators hands.

Safety

The machine has a built in safety clutch to prevent damage to the gears when too much torque is applied.
