DA6301 heavy duty angle drill

The DA6301 is a heavy duty corded angle drill for drilling large holes in confined areas manufactured by Makita.

The machine is powered by 810 watt brushed motor from an outlet. Depending on the region it is sold in the cord has an appropriate power plug and voltage rating for 120 and 230 volt outlets.

Exterior

The machine has a bare aluminium motor housing with the metal keyed chuck pointing downwards.

On the back side there is a plastic handle where the power cord comes out with a black trigger switch to activate the machine also pointing downwards.

The machine has a high and low gear which can be selected with a black sliding switch above the chuck and the markings L and H next to it. The low speed is suitable for large holes and high speed for small holes.

On the side of the motor housing is a round lid which can be removed with a flat head screw driver to replace the brushes.There is also a threaded hole where the side handle can be screwed in on each side.

On the front of the machine is a horizontal plastic D-handle which can also be removed or rotated to work better in confined areas.

Safety

The machine has a built in safety clutch to prevent damage to the gears and injury to the operator when too much torque is applied.
