TD0101F corded impact driver

Corded electric tools Drilling & fastening Impact driver
This product was marked as discontinued in 2020.

The TD0101F is a corded electric impact driver with a 1/4 inch hex drive manufactured by Makita.

The machine is powered by a 230 watt brushed electric motor.

In 2020 the machine was marked as discontinued on Makita New Zealand's website and has the TD110D listed as its replacement, but being a battery powered cordless tool makes it very different from the TD1010F.

Exterior

The machine has a "Makita teal" colored plastic housing with overmolded black rubberized parts on the back side, top and sides to protect the machine body.

On the back of the motor housing there are round black slotted covers that provide access to the motor brushes.

The front of the body (Makita calls the hammer case) is made out of aluminium and is rounded and tapered towards the front with a ribbed texture going around.

In front of that is a white bumper that is made out of a phosphorescent that glows in the dark.

all the way in the front is a black bit sleeve with a 1/4 inch hex drive where bits can be inserted.

The handle is position in the middle under the motor where the power cord extends from the bottom. There is a facility to attach a belt hook but it is not always included with the machine depending on what kind of package it is sold as.

The TD0101F has a white LED on the underside of the handle to illuminate the working area. This is the main difference from the TD0101 which does not have an LED.

Operation

On the front of the handle is a black variable speed trigger which is operated with the index finger.

Positioned above/behind the trigger is a black push button on each side to reverse the turning direction.

The bit sleeve has to be pulled forward to release and secure the bit.
