TW1000 1" square drive impact wrench

The TW1000 is a heavy duty corded electric impact wrench with a one inch square drive manufactured by Makita.

The machine is powered by a 1200 watt brushed electric motor. With a maximum torque of 1000 NM it is Makita's most powerful impact wrench.

Exterior

The machine has a "Makita teal" colored motor housing with black on the back side.

On the sides are black round covers that can be opened to replace the motor brushes.

Towards the front is an aluminium gear housing that contains the mechanism that provides the impacts. The front is black and tapers towards front with a square drive.

The picture shows the machine with an included 41 mm socket attached.

Around the gear housing an auxiliary handle can be attached which can be positioned freely all the way around.

The handle is black and is placed in the middle underneath the machine for better balance.

Operation

The machine is activated with a rocker trigger switch. When pressed on top with the index finger the machine will turn clockwise (usually the direction to tighten) and when pressed on the bottom half with the middle finger it will turn in the other direction (usually the direction to loosen).
