FS2700 TEK screwdriver

Corded electric tools Drilling & fastening Power screwdriver

The FS2700 is an corded electric screw driver manufactured by Makita. It is powered by a 570 watt brushed electric motor.

The machine has a direct drive transmission allowing it to be compact and light because no gearbox is needed.

The machine is nearly identical to the FS2500 but has a ring to set the torque for the clutch behind the locking sleeve.

Exterior

The machine has a pistol shaped body with the handle in the back from where the power cord extends on the bottom. There is an integrated white LED that illuminates the working area.

Protruding from the bottom of the handle is a "locator holder" to hold the locator. The locator is the tapered front that surrounds the bit and needs to be removed to change the bit.

The body is made out of "Makita teal" colored plastic with an black metal belt clip on top.

Near the front is a metal locking sleeve which can be turned to adjust the depth of the screw.

At the very tip is the locator which tapers towards the front with a ring magnet at the very tip to hold a screw in place.

Operation

On front of the handle there is a black trigger switch to activate the machine. Behind it is a round black lock on button to keep the machine turning.

On top side of the trigger is a switch to reverse the direction of rotation.

To change a bit the locator has to be pulled out.

Behind the locking sleeve is a torque adjustment ring with six settings.
