The 4300BV is a corded bow handle jig saw manufactured by Makita. It is powered by a 390 watt brushed motor from an outlet.

Exterior

The body of the machine is made out of "Makita teal" colored plastic. On the sides there are black round covers that provide access to the motor brushes. On the back side there are ventilation slits.

On the top side is a black plastic handle with the cord coming out on the back and the trigger switch on the underside.

The gear housing on front is made of aluminum and the tiltable base is made out of steel that is painted black.

Operation

The machine is activated with the black trigger switch on the underside of the handle.

A built in blower is activated when the motor is running.

The blades can be changed with the included hex key, the machine accepts Makita's bayonet style blades and the more common T-shank blades.
