The 4350FCT is a variable speed bow handle shaped jig saw manufactured by Makita.

The machine is powered by a 720 watt brushed motor from an outlet. Depending on the region sold it has a different plug and works with 120 or 230 volts.

The machine has electronic speed control meaning that the number of stokes per minute will remain constant when more resistance is encountered.

The machine has a soft start feature and on Makita USA's website it is advertised as having low vibrations and lowest noise level in its class but does not specify beyond what class that is.

Exterior

The machine has a D-shaped body made out of "Makita teal" colored plastic with black rubberized parts around the front and top where the operator's hands are placed.

On the front there is also some black rubber surrounding some ventilation holes.

The tiltable base is made out of cast aluminium and is covered with black plastic on the bottom prevent scratching the work piece.

Above the saw blade there is an LED that illuminates the working area.

Operation

The machine is activated by sliding the black switch on the side forward to the on position and will remain running until it is manually moved to the off position.

A built in blower will activate when the motor is turning.

On the back of the body is a red dial with 6 settings to set the strokes per minute between 800 and 2800.

Just above the base is a black knob with four settings to set the amount of orbital actions. In front of that is a black quick release lever that can be pulled to eject the saw blade.

The base can be titled up to 45º using an included hex wrench.
