BE 75-16 keyed corded drill

Corded electric tools Drill Drilling & fastening

The BE 75-16 is an electric corded drill manufactured by Metabo. But the low maximum RPM makes it slow for drilling small holes.

The drill has a green plastic body with vertical redline between the back and front.

The machine is activated with a black trigger switch on the handle.

Above the trigger is a switch that reverses the direction of rotation and also adjusts the position of the brushes so that the motor can output the same amount of power in both directions.

On the front there is an aluminium gearbox with an extra ong rotatable side handle clamped around it. This helps ther operator control the mancine when a lot of toruqe is applied.

The machine has a safety clutch that will mechanically disengage the drive when too much torque is applied.

On the body of the machine is a hex shank chuck that allows 1/4" hex bits to be inserted directly. For this the chuck has to be removed and tools are required. On the power cord there is a holder for up to four bits and the chuck key.

Variants

Across the world the BE 75-16 is available with different plugs. There are also 120 volt variants for the UK and USA. There is also the BE 75-16 Quick of which the chuck can be removed without tools.
