EY9L10B 3.6V battery

The EY9L10B is Lithium Ion battery pack for the 3.6 volt battery system from Panasonic.

The battery has a nominal voltage of 3.6 volts with a capacity of 1.5 Ah. Inside the battery pack is a single Lithium Ion cell.

Panasonic does not disclose the weight of this battery on their website but proudly states that it is 40% lighter than Ni-mh and Ni-Cd batteries.

It has an expected battery life of eight years.

The battery can be charged up to 80% in 15 minutes.

Exterior

The battery pack has a shape that can be described as almost cylindrical black plastic case.

On the bottom there are two latches that can be pressed in to release the battery from the tool it is inserted in. The bottom is the widest part and is perfectly round.

On the top there there are electrical contacts along the side and recessed in some rectangular holes on the top.

Variants

The EY9L10B is a newer variant of the EY9L10 which has the same specifications.

On Panasonic's website a battery with the same specifications is also listed as EY9L10B57.

On the internet many offerings from other brands than Panasonic that claim to be able to replace the EY9L10(B) can also be found.
