PMBSA 4 A1 cordless drill

Drilling & fastening Drill Cordless Me

The PMBSA 4 A1 is a cordless drill driver distributed under the Parkside brand as part of the "Me" series.

It is a small and light machine with limited features meant for small jobs around the house.

The machine is powered by a built in battery with a capacity of 3.0 Ah and can be fully charged in one hour.

Exterior

The machine body has a curved and smooth shape with a color scheme of dark purple, black with shiny silver accents. The top, and back are purple while the front and underside are black.

Between the purple and black halves there is a rounded black "stitch" or "bandage" with a screw in the middle on both sides of the body to keep the two parts together. This feature is part of the design language across the "Me" product range.

On the bottom of the handle is an USB-C port for charging the built in battery. On the back, near the bottom is a battery charge indicator consisting out of a red, yellow and green LED and a button to activate it.

At the front of the handle is a black trigger switch. Above that on the left side is a button to reverse the direction of rotation. On the button is an LED that shines green when the machine is set to turn right and red when set to turn left.

On top of the body is single large slit for ventilation of the motor.

At the front is an all metal black chuck. Behind that is a mode selector ring with a screw and drill symbol. The mode acts like a selector between low and high gear. The low gear (for screwing) has a maximum speed of 300 RPM with 10 Nm torque. The high gear (for drilling) has a maximum speed of 1000 RPM.

Operation

The drill is activated by pressing the variable trigger switch. The turning direction is reversed by pressing the black button above the trigger on the left side of the body.

The gear can be changed from low to high by turning the ring behind the chuck.

Bits are secured in the chuck by twisting it, and loosened by twisting it in the opposite direction.

The battery is charged y inserting an USB-C charging cable in the bottom of the handle.

The machine has no built in LED light to illuminate the working area or an adjustable clutch.
