PBSPA 12 C3 drill

Drilling & fastening Drill Cordless X12V PERFORMANCE

The PBSPA 12 C3 is a cordless drill with a detachable chuck distributed under the Parkside brand.

The machine is part of the Parkside performance label. This means that the machine is equipped with an efficient brushless electric motor and instead of a green body had a black body.

The machine is the successor of the PBSPA 12 B2 and is just as powerful but has a detachable chuck. With the chuck removed a magnetic 1/4" hex bit holder is exposed where bits can be inserted directly, allowing for faster bit changes and making the machine more compact and lighter.

Availability

The machine is sold in the online web shop of Lidl supermarkets in some European countries. It is also sold in the Lidl supermarkets for short periods of time with limited stock available.

In April 2022 it was marked in stock for in many of Lidls European websites.

Exterior

The machine has black plastic housing with black rubberized parts and gray and red accents.

On the bottom of the handle a X12V battery attaches by sliding in the handle from the bottom.

On front of the handle is a red trigger switch with a black rubberized front. Above the trigger, on the left side is a battery charge indicator consisting out of a red, orange and green LED. Behind that is a red push button to reverse the direction of rotation on each side. In front of that is a white LED that illuminates the working area.

On top of the housing is a red gear selector switch.

At the front is clutch setting ring with 20 settings plus a drill setting that disables the clutch. At the front is a black metal chuck with a maximum opening of 10 mm.

Operation

The machine works as a standard drill. It is activated by pressing the variable speed trigger switch. The push button above it can be used to reverse the turning direction or as a trigger lock when the button is centered.

The resistance of the clutch is adjusted with the ring behind the chuck.

The gear can be selected with the sliding switch on top of the body.

The chuck can be removed by pulling the red collar behind the chuck forward. A 1/4" hex bit can be inserted directly in the exposed spindle when the chuck is removed.
