PABH 20-Li A1 rotary hammer

The PABH 20-Li A1 is a cordless rotary hammer distributed under the Parkside brand.

The machine has a brushed electric motor that is powered by X20V Team battery.

Classification

On the English website of the German importer Kompernaß this machine is classified as a hammer drill but this seems to be an error as the presence of a sliding SDS chuck points to this being a rotary hammer. For this reason it is classified as a rotary hammer here.

X20V compatibility

This machine was introduced before the X20V battery system. The included battery and charger do not have this branding and have their own distinct product number but are fully compatible with the X20V battery system.

Exterior

The machine has a dark green plastic housing with black rubberized parts around the handle and back.

The body has a very bumpy exterior with thick black rubber bulges all over giving it a very rugged appearance.

The machine has two handles. One straight one in the back. It has a red/black trigger switch switch at the front with a red turning direction reversal push button above it  on each side of the  body.

The second handle is thinner and that starts at the front and is angled towards the back where it attaches above the battery. Large parts of both handles are covered in black rubber for better grip.

The X20V is inserted on the bottom and slides in from the front.

At the front of the secondary handle there is a white LED that illuminates the working area. Above that is a knob on left side of the gearbox that allows switching between the two work modes; hammering plus drilling and drilling only.

at the front of the machine is a black metal SDS-plus chuck which can be pulled backwards to release the SDS drill bit.
