PBP003 18V 2.0 Ah battery

The PBP003 is a 18 volt Lithium Ion battery pack in the 18V ONE+ HP system of Ryobi with a capacity of 2.0 Ampere hours.

Ryobi advertises this battery pack as high performance and claims a longer runtime than "standard lithium" but does not specify what that means. It is unclear in what way the performance differs from the PBP006 which has the same capacity and voltage. The PBP003 has a charge time of 60 minutes while the PBP006 only needs 40.

The battery has a black plastic box shape with a gray bottom. Unlike battery packs from other brands the leads are located on upright extension sticking up near the back making these battery packs bulkier than other systems.

Inside the battery back are five Lithium 18650 cells. On the front there is a green button which will activate the charge indicator which consists out of four green LEDs.

On the sides there are latches which have to be pressed to release the battery from the machine body it is inserted in.

The cells in this battery pack have a rated capacity of 2.0 Ampere hours.

Ryobi's website does not say how long it takes to charge this battery.
