JV0600K corded bow handle jig saw

The JV0600K is a corded bow handle jig saw manufactured by Makita.

It is powered by a 650 watt brushed motor and Makita refers to it as a "mid range" model. It shares a lot of similarities with the entry level 4329K but is more powerful.

Exterior

The body is ergonomically shaped D-handle type made out of "Makita teal" colored plastic with soft black rubberized parts on the handle. A large part of the underside is made out of aluminium.

There are ventilation slots on near front and back of the housing because the machine does not have a built in blower. Instead it had an integrated tube to connect a vacuum on the underside of the body for dust extraction.

The titlable base is made out of aluminium.

Operation

The machine is activated with the large black variable speed trigger switch on the underside of the handle. Above the trigger is a round black lock on button to keep the machine running without needing to hold the trigger.

On the side there is a black knob to set the orbital actions with three steps.

The blade can be changed without any tools.
