DC18RD 14.4-18V LXT dual battery charger

The DC18RC is a fast battery charger for Makita battery packs in the LXT 18V and LXT 14.4V systems. It can charge two 3.0 Ah batteries in 22 minutes.

The charger has a black plastic housing where two battery pack can be placed on top in receptacles next to eachother upside down by sliding it in from the back.

On the left side there are various LEDs to indicate the charging status.

The charger communicates with the battery management electronics in the battery pack to determine the optimal charging speed and reduces wear on the battery.

Inside the charger is a fan to create air flow around the batteries to cool them down while charging.

When a battery is fully charged the charger a sound alert is triggered.
