DC18SD 7.2-18V standard charger

The The DC18RC is a fast battery charger for Makita Lithium Ion battery packs in the LXT 18V and LXT14.4V systems.

It can also charge older Makita Ni-MH batteries with voltages from 7.2 to 14.4 volt.

The charger has a black plastic housing where the battery pack can be placed on top upside down by sliding it in from the back.

On the right side there are various LEDs to indicate the charging status.

The charger communicates with the battery management electronics in the battery pack to prevent damage by overheating.
