36V AC adapter

The ET36A is an AC Adapter for the Metabo HTP multivolt battery platform.

When plugged in a 120 volt outlet the adapter outputs 36 volt and can be connected to instead of the battery on any compatible Metabo HTP Multivolt power tool to turn in it from a cordless in to  a corded tool.

On Metabo HTP's website it states nowhere that the adapter can output 18 volts, so it is only expected to work with 36 volt tools.

Exterior

The adapter has a AC ungrounded plug that is permanently attached to a black rectangular box (with other appliances often referred to as a "power brick") that contains the voltage transformer. There is an LED on there that will turn on to indicate an error.

On the other side a permanently attached DC power cord comes out that connects to another box called the adapter that is shaped exactly like a 18/36 multivolt battery and can be inserted in the tool.

The total length of the cord is 20 foot (6 meters) it is not specified how long each part of the cord is.
