UC18YTSL 4 port 18/36V battery charger

The UC18YTSL is a four port battery charger for the Metabo HTP multivolt battery system.

It can charge up to four 18 volt or 18/36 multivolt batteries. Normally the batteries will be charged one at a time, they can also charge all at once but then the charging speed is reduced.

The charger also supports legacy 14.4 volt batteries.

Exterior

The charger has a rectangular shape with a handle that folds out on top. The housing is made out of black plastic.

On the front and back there are each two receptacles on which batteries can be be placed by sliding them in from above. Each receptacle has its own charge level indicator.

Each receptacle also has ventilation holes through which cool air is blown out on the batteries.

On one side there are two USB-A ports which deliver 5 volts for charging small devices like mobile phones.

On the other side there is the power cord and two AC outlets which deliver the same voltage as the input voltage on the power cord (120V at 60 Hz).

Operation

Under the handle there is an indicator for the charging mode and a button to toggle between charging modes.
