EY46A2X cordless angle grinder
The EY46A2X is a cordless angle grinder manufactured by Panasonic.
The "X" at the end of the model name indicates it is sold without battery and charger.
The machine has a brushless electric motor that is powered by an 18 or 14.4 volt battery.
The stated weight of 2.35 kilo is of the tool with one 18V 5.0 Ah battery inserted. The picture shows the machine with one battery.
Exterior
The tool has a light gray plastic housing with large parts of the handle covered in black rubber.
The battery attaches to the back at a 45º angle and slides in from the top. In front of the battery are ventilation slits that suck in air.
On top of the body, towards the front is a black slide switch. The position on top allows the machine to be activated with the thumb of the left or right hand.
On the front of the machine is a gray gearbox that is attached to the motor housing with four screws, and can be removed and rotated in 90º increments.
On top are some holes that act as ventilation exhaust holes. There are two threaded holes to screw in an auxiliary handle on the left and right side.
On the top side is a red spindle lock button and an arrow that indicates the turning direction.
The position of the gray wheel guard underneath can be adjusted with a screwdriver.
