PABS 20-Li B2 replacement battery

The battery for PABS 20-Li B2 is Lithium Ion battery pack for the X20V Team battery system from Parkside.

The battery has a nominal voltage of 18 volts with a maximum of 20 volts when fully charged. It has a capacity of 2.0 Ah.

Unlike other Parkside batteries the name does not start with PAP. This battery is a specific replacement battery for the drill PABS 20-Li B2. The reason for this is that the battery has a screw hole on both sides to which a belt clip can be attached.

This battery and the drill are compatible with other X20V products.

Availability

At the time of writing in December 2021 the German importer at Kompernass.com lists this battery as not available. Owners of a PABS 20-Li B2 drill can however buy a PAP 20 A1 or PAP 20 B1 battery which will work with the omission of the belt clip.

Exterior

The battery pack is box shaped and contains five cylindrical 18650 Lithium Ion cells with a capacity of 2.0 Ah each.

The battery pack has a black plastic casing with recessed electrical contacts on top. The bottom part of the casing is red. The text "Parkside X20V Team" is visible on the left and right side.

On the back there is a screw hole on each side on which an optional belt clip can be attached.

The battery is designed to slide into the bottom of a power tool from the front to back.

At the front/top is a red push button that releases a latch to release the battery from the tool body.

Battery charge indicator

It is not clear from the description and picture if this battery has a battery charge indicator like the other X20V batteries. The belt clip would block it if it was on the same place as other batteries.
