PLG 20 A3 battery charger

The PLG 20 A3 is a battery charger for X20V batteries distributed under the Parkside brand.

With a charging current of 4.5 Ah it can charge faster than the PLG 20 A1 and PLG 20 A3 and in March 2022 is the faster Parkside charger for the X20V battery system.

Compatibility

Not much additional information about this charger is available since the link on the distributor's website to the user manual does not work.

Since it is an X20V charger it should be compatible with all batteries in this system.

Availability

In March 2022 the charger was for listed as in stock on the German distributor's website.

Exterior

The charger has a roughly a "house" shape with many rounded angles and edges. The exterior is made out of black plastic.

On the sides there are vertical ventilation slits behind protruding ribs. On the bottom there are more ventilation slits.

The power cord is permanently attached on the back.

Near the front is a receptacle with three metal contacts marked with + (positive) on the left and - (negative) on the right. for a single battery that is inserted upside down.

There is a green charging LED on the left and a red warning LED on the right.

It is possible to mount the charger on a wall with screws using screw mounts on the bottom, where there are also ventilation slits in the housing.
