PKGA 20-Li C2 multi head drill

The PKGA 20-Li C2 is a cordless electric drill with detachable head distributed under the Parkside brand.

The machine has a brushless motor that is powered by a X20V battery.

Classification

Although marketed as a "combi" machine that can do multiple things its primary classification here is as multi head drill because the shape of the machine body makes is shaped like a traditional drill and in promotional materials the drill head is featured first.

Exterior

The machine has a dark green plastic housing with black rubberized parts around the handle and back.

On the bottom of the handle a X20V battery attaches by sliding in from the front.

On front of the handle is a red trigger switch with a black rubberized front. Above it is a push button to reverse the direction of rotation on each side.

On top of the body is a red slide switch that slides from left to right to secure the attachment to the machine body.

The front of the body is a guide rail on the lower end where on the attachment can slide in from the front and then connects to the recessed metal spindle in the motor housing.

Unlike most other Parkside drills there is no build in LED, belt clip, or bit holder.

Operation

The machine works like a regular drill. It is activated by the variable speed trigger switch and the turning direction can be changed with the push buttons above the trigger switch.

The attachments slide in from the front and are locked in place with the sliding switch on top of the motor housing.

Each attachment of course requires using the machine in a way that fits with the type of work that is used for.

Included accessories

The machine body is sold together bundled with four attachments, various drill and screwing bits, a wood and metal saw blade, multi-tool saw blades, sanding pad, two sizes of different grit sandpaper and a vacuum adapter for the delta sanding attachment.

Keyless drill chuck attachment

The drill chuck attachment includes a two speed gearbox with a slide switch on top to select the gear. There is also a built in clutch with 19 settings that can be selected by turning the ring behind the chuck and a separate drill setting.

The chuck is made out of metal and has a maximum diameter of 13 mm.

Oscillating multi-tool attachment

This attachment has a maximum of 20000 oscillations per minute with a angle of 3º. The tools can be inserted without needing additional tools and can be placed at different orientations.

Reciprocating saw attachment

The reciprocating saw attachment works at a maximum speed of 3200 strokes per minute with a stroke length of 22 mm. The attachment has a toolless chuck.

Delta sander attachment

This attachment has a "delta" shaped sanding pad with dimensions of 150 by 100 mm that is kept in place with hooks and loops (velcro). The pad vibrates with a maximum of 9500 vibrations per minute. An included vacuum adapter can be inserted in the back of the pad to add dust extraction capability.

Other attachments

A separate set with three other attachments; grass scissors, hedge shears and tire pump/air compressor is also available.
