PPSSA 40-Li A1 recipro saw

The PPSSA 40-Li A1 is a cordless reciprocating saw distributed under the Parkside brand.

The brushless electric motor is powered by two X20V Team batteries. For this reason it is marketed as a 40 volt machine.

The weight of the machine was not found on the distributor's website or the user manual but taken from the YouTube video linked below.

Availability

In February 2023 the machine is listed in various European Lidl websites for 99.99 euros without batteries and charger.

P for Performance

The addition P to the PPSSA model name indicates that it is part of the Parkside performance label. This means that the machine is equipped with an efficient brushless electric motor and instead of a green body had a black body.

Exterior

The machine has a black plastic housing with black rubberized parts with some red accents. There is a D-shaped handle behind the motor housing. Two X20V batteries slide in from the left side underneath the handle.

Operation

The machine has a variable speed trigger that can only be activated when the trigger safety lock button above it pressed first on either the left or right side.

Classification

Since the machine uses X20V batteries and is marketed by Parkside as being part of the X20V battery system it is categorized here as a product part of the the X20V battery system even though it has a higher operating voltage.
