PSSAP 20-Li A1 recipro saw

The PSSAP 20-Li A1 is a cordless reciprocating saw distributed under the Parkside brand.

The machine has a brushless electric motor that is powered by X20V Team battery.

The weight of the machine was not found on the distributor's website or the user manual.

Availability

Not much information can be found about this machine online. One picture shows the machine with a 20V battery which means it was introduced before the X20V battery system was introduced.

After the new branding for the battery system was introduced the machine seems to have been replaced with the PSSAP 20-Li B2 which uses the X20V branding but appears otherwise mostly similar. The only visual difference is the black button to release the footplate while the PSSAP 20-Li A1 has a red lock button.

P for Performance

The addition P to the PPSSA model name indicates that it is part of the Parkside performance label. This means that the machine is equipped with an efficient brushless electric motor and instead of a green body had a black body.

Exterior

The machine has a black plastic housing with black rubberized parts with some red accents. There is a D-shaped handle behind the motor housing. A X20V batteries slides in underneath the handle from the front.

Operation

The machine has a variable speed trigger that can only be activated when the trigger safety lock button above it pressed first on either the left or right side.

A saw blade can be inserted or released in the chuck by twisting the collar with one hand.

The position of the footplate can be adjusted forward and backward while the red lock button on the left side is pushed in.
