CR18DAQ4 18V cordless recipro saw

The CR18DAQ4 is a cordless one handed reciprocating saw sold in the USA under the Metabo HTP brand.

The saw has by an electric motor powered by a 18 or 18/36 multivolt battery. It is not specified on Metabo HTP's website if the motor is brushed or brushless.

The "Q4" suffix in the model name indicates that it is sold as a bare tool without battery and charger.

The blade holder accepts reciprocating and T-shank jig saw blades

Exterior

The machine body is made out of green plastic with black rubberized parts around the contact handle and front side.

The battery can be attached behind the handle and the machine can stand upright on the battery.

The motor housing is placed at an angle in front of the handle to reduce the overall length of the machine.

At the front there is a built in LED to illuminate the working area.

Operation

The machine is activated with the black variable speed trigger switch on the handle.

There is a trigger lock button above it that needs to be pressed in on the left side to unlock the trigger and pressed in on the other side to lock it.

The blade can be changed without tools by turning the blade holder.

The shoe can be adjusted after pushing the green button under the logo on the side of the body.
