PLG 20 A1 battery charger

The PLG 20 A1 is a battery charger for X20V batteries distributed under the Parkside brand.

The user manual refers to this charger as being a high speed charger but with a charging current of 2.4 A but in the year 2022 it is the slowest charger's in Parksides product offerings.

Compatibility

According to the user manual this charger is exclusively intended for charging PAP 20 A1 series batteries. These are 2.0 Ah batteries that will be charged in approximately 60 minutes.

The charger will most likely also charge newer batteries like the PAP 20 B1 and Pap 20 A3.

Availability

In March 2022 the charger was for listed as in stock on the German distributor's website.

Exterior

The charger has a roughly a "house" shape with many rounded angles and edges. The exterior is made out of black plastic.

On the sides there are vertical ventilation slits behind protruding ribs. On the bottom there are more ventilation slits.

The power cord is permanently attached on the back.

Near the front is a receptacle with three metal contacts marked with + (positive) on the left and - (negative) on the right. for a single battery that is inserted upside down.

There is a green charging LED on the left and a red warning LED on the right.

It is possible to mount the charger on a wall with screws using screw mounts on the bottom, where there are also ventilation slits in the housing.
